Celtic Spirit Tarot

Four elements are not enough. The Celts always knew there was a fifth.

The Celtic Spirit Tarot by Celtic shaman and bestselling author Nicola McIntosh is a 92-card deck unlike any other — not 78. The additional 14 cards form a complete fifth suit representing Spirit: the fifth point on the pentagram, the element that animates all life, the force that connects earth, air, fire, and water into something greater than any of them alone. This is the Celtic understanding of the living world: nothing exists in isolation, everything is in relationship, and Spirit moves through all of it.

The deck is built on a Rider-Waite-Smith foundation — the familiar structure that makes tarot accessible — but enhanced throughout with Celtic imagery, shamanic symbolism, and the deep nature wisdom of the Celtic tradition. McIntosh is a practicing Celtic shaman, and that lineage is present in every card: the relationship to the land, to elemental beings, to the cycles of nature, to the invisible forces that the Celtic peoples understood as simply part of the living world.

The box itself announces the deck's character: dark rich wood grain overlaid with ornate gold Celtic knotwork borders — ancient, earthy, and unmistakably rooted in the British Isles tradition.
