The Druid Plant Oracle

The plants were here long before the oracles. The Druids simply remembered to ask them.

The Druid Plant Oracle by Philip and Stephanie Carr-Gomm brings the ancient botanical wisdom of the Druid tradition into living practice through 36 beautifully illustrated cards. The Druids did not merely use plants as medicine or food — they revered certain trees, herbs, and fungi as sacred presences with their own intelligence, their own mythologies, their own relationship to the web of life. Each plant carried meanings, virtues, and associations that could be read as messages from the natural world. This deck restores that relationship.

Artist Will Worthington depicts each plant in exquisite botanical detail, rendered in its natural habitat — misty Celtic landscapes, ancient woodland, riverbank and hedgerow — with a painterly reverence that makes each card feel like a window into a living world. Philip and Stephanie Carr-Gomm’s accompanying text reveals the folklore, mythology, virtues, and qualities of each species, and shows how the cards can be used as an oracle for wisdom, guidance, and inspiration in daily life.

This is a deck for those who feel the call of the green world — who sense that plants are more than background, that the natural world is speaking constantly, and that learning to listen is both a spiritual practice and a homecoming.
