Lilith — The First, The Untamed, The Reclaimed
Before she was demonized, she was divine. This striking Lilith statue by sculptor Paul Borda of Dryad Design is based on a Sumerian clay tablet relief from 2000 BC — one of the oldest known depictions of this complex and powerful figure. She wears the horned crown that marks her not as a demon, but as a Goddess in the Sumerian tradition, reclaiming her rightful place in the pantheon of the divine feminine.
Lilith appears across Sumerian, Babylonian, Assyrian, Canaanite, Persian, Hebrew, Arabic, and Teutonic mythology — known as Adam’s first wife who refused to submit, as a motherless form of the divine feminine, and even as the wife of Yahweh in some traditions. As the embodiment of the neglected, outcast, and rejected aspects of the Great Goddess, she calls women to rise in strength and reclaim their own divinity.
A Statement Piece for Altar or Home
Cast in polyresin and finished to reflect the natural texture of Paul Borda’s original sculpture, this statue is as much a work of art as it is a devotional object — commanding, detailed, and deeply intentional.
