Queer Tarot: An Inclusive Deck & Guidebook

Tarot was always queer. This deck finally looks like it.

Queer Tarot: An Inclusive Deck & Guidebook is the vibrant, deluxe tarot set from queer and trans artist duo Ashley Molesso and Chess Needham of Ash + Chess — a bold, joyful reimagining of the classic 78-card tarot that centers and celebrates the full spectrum of LGBTQ+ identity from the first card to the last. Every figure in the Major and Minor Arcana has been reimagined to showcase a wide range of gender expressions and sexual orientations. Queer history and iconography are woven throughout, from the pink triangle to the rainbow to the quiet knowing of being seen in the cards you hold.

The artwork by Ash + Chess is vibrant and immediately distinctive — bold flat color, exuberant linework, and the kind of joyful illustration energy that makes you want to display every card. This is a deck designed to affirm, inspire, and represent — a tarot practice that begins from the premise that you belong here, exactly as you are.

The deluxe set is beautifully produced: a keepsake magnetic closure box with metallic foil accents, a shrink-wrapped interior travel case for the cards, and a 168-page full-color illustrated flexibind guidebook. Everything about this set is designed to be kept, treasured, and used.
