The Daemon Tarot

From the depths of the Infernal Dictionary — the forbidden wisdom of 69 ancient daemons, bound into a divination deck.

The Daemon Tarot draws upon Le Dictionnaire Infernal, the legendary 1818 tome by French occultist Jacques Auguste Simon Collin de Plancy, in which centuries of arcane magical texts were compiled to describe and classify ancient daemons into hellish hierarchies. The original engravings by artist Louis Breton — among the most iconic images in Western occult history — are the visual foundation of this deck.

Author Ariana Osborne has reinterpreted Collin de Plancy's classic text for a contemporary audience, building an entirely original divination system around 69 of those daemons. Each card identifies a daemon's unique strengths, specialties, and energetic domain, and explains how to summon and work with that energy in modern practice. This is not a traditional tarot structure — it is something older, stranger, and genuinely its own system.

The result is one of the most visually striking and intellectually serious dark occult decks available: 19th century woodcut engraving aesthetics, genuine historical source material, and a divination framework built for practitioners who want to go deeper than surface-level shadow work.
